24 Feb Get to Know Force: Megan Crumpton
Each week, we’ll be highlighting a key Force Marketing team member here on the blog. Get to know our team a little better, starting today with Director of Sales Megan Crumpton!
Q. What’s your role at Force, and what does it entail?
I am the Director of Sales at Force. My ultimate goal is to help our clients increase sales while lowering their cost per unit sold. I am currently in the Midwest Region, which is a change from the past, but I welcome the challenge!
Q. What’s your favorite thing about what you do here?
My favorite part of working at Force is the freedom to make my job what I want it to be. This isn’t just a job to me; it is a career. My path over the past 5 years has taken many turns, but I have been involved in the decision-making process of all of them. My strengths are celebrated here, and I am in a position to help the company be more successful. That is a really fulfilling feeling.
Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
I love sports, all of them. Football is number one, but the others aren’t far behind. This has been the best sports season of my 31 years, with the Cubs winning the World Series and the Falcons making it to the Super Bowl. Yes, I am still in recovery from the heartbreak that was Super Bowl 51, but going 1 for 2 isn’t bad.
Q. What’s your dream travel destination?
Maldives. I want to sleep in a hut over the water without cell phone service. Having a frozen drink in my hand wouldn’t hurt, either.
Q. Did you have any sort of automotive background before Force?
Does my entire life count? I’m a third generation in the automotive industry. My grandfather was with Ford for a very long time, and my Dad, Lee, has owned and been the dealer principal at dealerships since before I was born. No matter how hard I tried to stay away from the industry, deep down I always knew this was where I belonged.
Q. What’s your dream vehicle?
Meribel White Pearl Range Rover Sport Supercharged.
Q. What song would be your theme song?
‘All The Singles Ladies’ by Beyonce. This should be pretty self-explanatory. I am taking applications, though, so if you know anyone, send them my way. 😉
Q. Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Sarah Jessica Parker. Carrie Bradshaw is my spirit animal. She is stylish, opinionated, and career-driven, which is pretty much me to a tee.
Q. What advice would you give to a new employee at Force?
Use your opportunity to its fullest. This company does not put limits on people. You can be as great as you want to be, and the growth potential is infinite. Take advantage of that.
Q. What’s your favorite quote?
“Difficulties in life are intended to make us better, not bitter.” ~ Dan Reeves
Q. Anything else you’d like people to know?
My favorite thing to do is laugh. Any time I’m in a bad mood, I watch old Friends episodes, and everything just seems to get better. I 100% believe that laughter is the best medicine.
