18 Dec Get to Know Force: Aimi GundersenEvery week, we will be featuring a team member. We recently sat down with Aimi Gundersen, one of our newest Regional Sales Directors and here is what we learned about her…
Q. What’s your role at Force, and what does it entail?
Regional Sales Director for North and South Carolina. My role entails building and cultivating relationships with dealers. I am focused on introducing Force Marketing to all the dealers who do not know about us, re-engaging dealers who we have had a relationship with in the past and getting them to fall in love with our new technologies, such as Drive.
Q. What’s your favorite thing about what working at Force?
The people. I instantly fell in love with leadership when I interviewed with Force Marketing. The job itself can be challenging with the digital marketing technology changing every day, but that is why I like it. I love challenges. Being able to participate in Ladies Who Lead is really inspiring.
Q. What’s one piece of advice you would give a dealer.
Good enough is never enough.
Q. Tell us a little bit about yourself outside of work.
I have 3 kids. My oldest is getting married in January, so that keeps me busy. My youngest plays lacrosse, and we are trying to get him ready for college. When I have free time, I love to listen to live music.
Q. Why did you choose Force?
I had a couple of options. At the end of the day, I went with Force for several reasons. The emotional reason was I felt at home when I walked in the office, the culture fit was there. I also was really sold on Drive. This product is new, exciting and different than any other.
Q. What’s your dream travel destination, or favorite place you’ve ever traveled? My favorite place I have traveled was Ireland. Specifically The Gap of Dunlow. It was so romantic. I loved the people. It was fun. My dream vacation would be in Iceland.
Q. Did you have any sort of automotive background before Force?
Yes, I started off as a teacher. I taught for many years, and after defending my dissertation, the state of North Carolina said they compensate me for it. I had a choice to be grumpy or to find a new challenge. I had a friend who worked for an automotive technology company. The only requirement for the sales job was that the person needed to be a female. So I applied and got the job!
Q. What’s your dream vehicle?
1962 old Ford F150 that I could re-finish

Q. Any interesting talents or facts about you?
I have played piano since I was 3 years old. Although I haven’t played in the past 8 years, it is like riding a bike. I know I could pick it back up at any time.
